LeBron James will most definitely be with the Los Angeles Lakers through the 22/23 season. But what’s next for the then thirty eight year old? Let’s think about it for a minute. Not that I have inside knowledge on the topic or anything, this is just a collection of my thoughts for how his career will end (contrary to belief from his stats, body, athletic ability) It WILL “at some point” end.
Cavs
I was alone, scared, and miserable in the sports world as a Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Cavs fan until the year 2016. Hope wasn’t always attainable, in fact, the outlook looked grim for many years; LeBron leaving Cleveland after revamping the team, the whole Bart-Man fiasco, goats, curses, all of it came year after year for a Cubs and Cavs fan.
Oh, those Cavs! I’ve been waiting since 1964 for them to win an NBA Finals Championship! Only problem is I wasn’t born until 1982! Cleveland Cavs fans know my suffering. As I write this blog, the Cavs are looking at a Game 6 with the Golden State Warriors at home in this years NBA Finals.
The NBA Trade Deadline has come and gone. Although relatively quiet, a few moves could make some teams contenders. The Cleveland Cavs followed suit this year sticking to their game plan that included being neutral and content with what they have to make a move toward a Championship.
Let me start off by saying that I was never a HUGE fan of Blatt, but at the same time, I believe the Cavs owed it to him to let him at least finish the season. After going 83-40 as the Cavs head coach and leading them to the NBA Finals last year Blatt was let go in a bit of a shocking fashion. Blatt’s tenure with the Cavs started off rocky from the start.
