Oh, those Cavs! I’ve been waiting since 1964 for them to win an NBA Finals Championship! Only problem is I wasn’t born until 1982! Cleveland Cavs fans know my suffering. As I write this blog, the Cavs are looking at a Game 6 with the Golden State Warriors at home in this years NBA Finals. This is a blog for another day; Hopefully a much much better day, you know, with confetti and such! Anyways, in this blog I will be taking about some moves that I think need to be made this off season, mainly focusing on my thoughts about Kevin Love, or lack thereof. Can LeBron James and Kevin Love co-exist? We shall see.

Is it just me or did Kevin Love seem a bit lost this season, maybe a little out of sorts. Rumors have swirled about Love and James bickering back and forth in the media. As a matter of fact, the whole team has apparently been at each others throats this season when things weren’t going very well. As I’ve watched this season, I can’t help but notice one thing. LeBron, Kyrie, JR Smith, Shump, RJ seem to have a great relationship, on and off the court. Kevin Love looks like an outsider more and more. When it was announced that Love was coming to Cleveland instead of Andrew Wiggins I was torn. I knew the talent that Wiggins brought to the table: Young, has size, mature, a stretch forward. Ever since day one the Love addition just did not seem like a good fit, like something was off. Everyone knew that Kevin Love would not be the 26 and 12 guy he was in Minnesota, but this was okay. He was going to be competing for championships, right? Albeit, while scoring 16 and 9. With that said I have came to a conclusion that includes some interesting moves that I would like to see made going forward into next season, because you know, with Cleveland sports it’s always, “There is always next year, and the year after that, and so on, and so on.”

Kevin Love is back off the bench in these Finals and starting, unlike where he got injured, came off the bench in favor of Richard Jefferson after a Cavs win in game 3. I think that it is time for Love to move on and here’s why. Kevin Love does not deserve to come off of the bench on any team. If the Cavs are going to want him to come off the bench, then it’s time to let him go and return to the double double machine he once was. I could see him going to the Lakers, which he has slightly pursued in the past. But, if I’m getting paid the big bucks and working in the front office I make the decision for him that it is time to move on. I know you all have been anxiously awaiting my first transaction as virtual GM of this team! So here it goes. Kevin Love, Timofey Mozgov, Iman Shumpert to the Los Angeles Clippers for Blake Griffin or DeAndre Jordan. I retire Mo Williams, James Jones. Finally, I also pursue Jordan Clarkson in a three way deal with previously mentioned trade, or Kevin Durant. I have heard rumors of a deal trading Kyrie Irving for Chris Paul. No thank you. Have you seen Irving play this year? What is scary is that he is just hitting his prime. Paul on the other hand is on the decline. I do think that you will see major changes this year in Cleveland. LeBron James is not going anywhere people! Plus, Cleveland is now a sexy place to play with the best player in the world, and I’m sure he will make the final decision and bring in who he wants anyways! Not until he considers my offer on the table though!
